Get Involved with SJCGA

SJCGA is powered by volunteers, and there are so many ways to jump in and make a real impact. You can help at our festivals and events, join or lead a committee, or take on a bigger role by heading a committee or serving on the board. Whether you’re great at organizing, marketing, fundraising, teaching, or just love lending a hand, your skills are valuable here.

Have an idea for a workshop, event, resource, or community project? We want to hear it. Members are encouraged to bring forward ideas and help shape the future of our clay and glass community. Volunteering with SJCGA is a great way to meet fellow artists, build connections, develop new skills, and help grow a strong, supportive creative community.

Join the Board of Directors

Please reach out if you’d like to be considered for the board or a volunteer. If elected, you agree to provide your time to attend annual board meetings, monthly general meetings, and occasional committee meetings (mostly online) to the best of your ability.

  • As a member of the San Joaquin Clay & Glass Association Board of Directors, you help guide the organization's mission to support and promote ceramic and glass artists throughout California's Central Valley. Board members provide leadership, contribute their skills and expertise, participate in planning events and programs, support organizational growth, and serve as ambassadors for SJCGA while fostering a strong, inclusive, and engaged arts community.

Committee member

  • Committee members collaborate with others, follow through on agreed tasks, and help ensure that SJCGA activities are welcoming, inclusive, and beneficial to our members.
